The telecommunications department manages the State Centrex Telephone Service in Rapid City. We
provide telephone service to State offices and the South Dakota School of MInes and Technology
(SDSM&T) and interface and coordinate between agencies and service providing vendors.
The staff is responsible for processing requests for telephone line installations, service, and feature
changes and locations. We process billing for monthly service and coordinate repair of telephone
leased lines on the Centrex System.
